Dr. Hartmut Grewe
Senior Consultant
05/07/1945 – 26/08/2014
Hartmut Grewe studied political sciences at Freie Universität Berlin and Duke University, where he received his Ph.D. He later taught at the University of Mannheim and the University of Texas at Austin.
After joining the German think-tank Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation he was involved in numerous academic and scientific projects ranging from empirical studies of youth to comparative investigations of parties and trade unions. He assisted the political education programs of the foundation in Germany and worked as a policy advisor for a continental trade union movement in Latin America and supervised other international projects of development assistance. Before his retirement, he was in charge of the foundation’s policy projects in Berlin for energy, environment, and climate change.
As part of the family, Hartmut supported the energiewaechter team as a senior consultant from the very start. Without his expertise, his commitment, and last but not least his enthusiasm for our topics we would not be where we are today.
Hartmut passed away on 26.08.2014 in Berlin after a short serious illness.
